Suicide Prevention

Feeling suicidal is where a person is having thoughts about ending their life or feeling that people would be better off without them.

If you’re worried that someone may be having suicidal thoughts, you can help by:

  • Talking to them and asking them how they are feeling.
  • Supporting them to get the support they need; this could be by supporting them to contact their GP or a local support service.
  • Help them to make a safety plan
  • If someone is in crisis, you can help them to get support from mental health or emergency services.
