Join this free workshop to find out more about domestic abuse and how you can support someone effectively. The workshops are domestic abuse awareness sessions for communities focussing on what people can do if they know someone who they think might be in an abusive relationship. Family, friends, colleagues, and neighbours are often the first to know that abuse is happening, but it can be difficult to know what to say.
The course covers:
- Identifying signs of domestic abuse
- Developing confident to discuss safety and options with someone in an abusive relationship
- Being able to support someone in an abusive relationship
- Learning why some individuals chose to stay in an abusive relationship
- Signposting information
*Please Note: This training is aimed at everyone, as such, we will not be covering how you can respond to DA in your professional capacity (i.e. supporting a client/patient)*
