Moneywise Credit Union

Since March 2020, Moneywise Credit Union have been working in partnership with Sunderland City Council to bring Credit Union facilities to Sunderland residents. Anyone can join Moneywise and our membership consists of children, employed, unemployed, retired people and local businesses.

Moneywise CU works closely with Sunderland City Council, local Voluntary and Community organisations, schools and colleges to help local people become better at budgeting and managing their money.

We also work closely with the England Illegal Moneylending Team to raise awareness of Loan Sharks and Illegal Money Lender. Loan Sharks are increasingly using Social Media to draw people into high interest, illegal lending.

Everyone is having to adapt to changing financial circumstances and Moneywise are able to offer affordable and ethical loans to buy essential goods for your homes, such as washing machines, TVs, computers and furniture, or loans to help towards the cost of home improvements, holidays, and returning to school or college.

Arrange to have your Child Benefit paid into Moneywise CU and you can apply for a loan of up to £750.00 without any Credit Checks.
