At the Community Centre, we offer a diverse range of activities catered to the needs and interests of our service users. Our weekly schedule has opportunities for social engagement including knitting, singing, art classes, a games group and much more.

At The Workshop BotM provides three sessions weekly, overseen by a qualified joiner and volunteers. We accommodate various groups such as men’s over 50s, women’s and 18-30 groups, where participants can discover woodworking skills and create themed items for sale in our pop-up shop.

Our Social Kitchen programme addresses service users emotional, financial and food-related struggles. We provide cooking classes to teach essential cooking skills, making sure people can learn to cook low-cost and simple recipes, in order to empower the community and help them become more self-sufficient and resilient.

Our YES strategy, delivered from its base on Mainsforth Terrace West, aims to raise aspirations through a programme of enterprise and employment opportunities and  give younger residents a Local Voice. Together with partners, we work across BotM’s key themes;  Social Isolation and Exclusion, Mental Health & Emotional Resilience, Physical Health, Intergenerational Unemployment, Vulnerable Financial Resilience & Digital Poverty to enable young people to live, work and thrive in Hendon..

The Hendon ECO (Environmental Community Opportunities) project encompasses greening up the high street, staff and volunteer street ranger work, educational activities, teaching and learning sessions around food production. We work in partnership with other like minded organisations and those who wish to share space at the Urban Garden and starter growing beds in Barley Mow park.
