Safeguarding children is everyone’s responsibility, and if you work with children, it is important that you are familiar with the procedures in place to safeguard children.

Aims of the Training

By the end of the session you will have a greater understanding of:

•The principles of safeguarding children

•How to recognise the signs of abuse

•How to respond to suspected or alleged abuse

•The national and local context of safeguarding and protection from abuse

•Ways to reduce the likelihood of abuse

•How to recognise and report unsafe practices

•Principles for online safety
