Washington Village u3a has more than 250 members who have all finished working full-time.  We have two walking groups: our Walking group meets on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month at 10.00am and our Strollers group meets on an ad-hoc basis on Wednesdays in nice weather. You can try one of our walks for free then you will be asked to become a member of Washington Village u3a (£15 annual membership).  You can then enjoy as many walks with our groups as you like.  Annual membership includes access to Washington Village u3a’s other activities which includes monthly meetings and more than 30+ other social and physical activity groups. More information is on our About Us page.

Our Walking group Walks are between 4 and 8 miles and are usually graded between easy and strenuous. Walkers should wear appropriate footwear and clothing and be fit enough to cope with walks which may be longer or challenging.  We try to arrange walks which start/end at toilet facilities and stop for breaks at a coffee shop if nearby otherwise please bring your own refreshments. Details of all walks are on our website under Groups/Walking.

Our Strollers group meets locally on Wednesday mornings.  This is an ad-hoc group which does gentle walks lasting approximately 1 hour and in areas within or close to Washington.
