Free Advice

Groundwork North East & Cumbria is working in partnership with Energy Saving Trust to support people in Sunderland to reduce their energy bills and make energy saving home improvements.
Our in-home support programme provides free, expert Retrofit advice on improving the energy efficiency of your home.

The focus is on those deemed ‘hard-to-reach’ owner occupier and private rented households as well as those living in hard-to-treat homes, for example vulnerable residents, residents in fuel poverty, those living in rural homes as well as older/poorly performing properties.

We recognise that the urgent need and desire from many residents to reduce their energy bills, along with general uncertainties about what is available or required, can increase vulnerability to unscrupulous traders. Residents may be unsure as to who can be trusted.

By engaging with Groundwork we will provide one on one, tailored advice in your home. We are working alongside Sunderland City Council to help residents to make informed and empowering decisions about their journey to increased domestic energy efficiency.

Householders living in Sunderland can receive in-person energy advice from us at Groundwork NE & Cumbria. You can refer yourself or others straight to us through this form: Groundwork North East Cumbria Green Doctors (salesforce-sites.com)
