Do you like entertaining people? Do you enjoy a good laugh? Come along to Washington Village u3a’s friendly Comedy & Sketch group and join in with all the fun. Learn how to write, perform, produce and direct comedy pieces; research and share stories about comedy legends; write and perform plays, poems and songs either as a group or individually. Enjoy re-enacting famous comedy sketches, watch comedy shows/DVDs together and go for trips with the group to comedy performances. You’ll even get the chance to perform live in front of Washington Village u3a members so there’ll never be a dull moment!
The group meets at The Stella, Albany Lane, Washington from 12-2pm on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Everyone is welcome – no need to book, just turn up! Your first group will be free then it will be £12 p.a. (from May to April) which gives you access to all the group’s activities as well as Washington Village u3a’s monthly meetings at the Stella, more than 30 different activity groups (everything from bowling to Pickleball to quizzes and a lot more), a monthly magazine and access to a huge range of activities offered by u3aUK and online.
