The project supports minoritised communities in Sunderland to achieve an improved financial situation, becoming financially more resilient, and to experience improved health and wellbeing, as well as access mainstream services. ICOS provides needs-tailored, intensive support for excluded BME people across Sunderland with a range of issues.
Examples of support include:
- Accessing mainstream benefits including initial applications, support with attending initial appointment, proof of evidence.
- Accessing housing including providing housing advice or support with housing applications.
- Support with accessing healthcare services such as registration with a GP and support with accessing prescriptions.
