Household Support Fund
Struggling with the cost of living?
If you have a low to moderate household income and have no or limited savings you might be eligible for help from the Household Support Fund (HSF).
It can provide a range of support, depending on your individual circumstances. It’s normally worth at least £200 towards fuel costs.
You may be eligible for support even if you’re working or not receiving means-tested benefits such as Universal Credit or Pension Credit. To qualify you’ll need to provide evidence of your household’s personal and financial situations.
The application scheme is open until the end of March 2025, subject to funding.
You can apply by calling the council on 0191 5205551 or contacting one of our eight voluntary sector partners (For their contact details click here).
